Beach Read Charcuterie Board

Create a Beach Read charcuterie board inspired by Emily Henry's bestselling novel. This colorful cheese board features creamy cheeses, fresh fruit, charcuterie, and summer-inspired styling based on the book's iconic cover art.

Ingredients
  

CHEESE
  • 1 8oz Brie round
  • 1 block Aged cheddar
  • 1 wedge Gouda
  • 1 tub spreadable garlic and herb cheese like Boursin or Aloutte
CHARCUTERIE
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Prosciutto
FRUITS
  • Peach
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  • Rainer Cherries
  • Green Grapes
PANTRY
  • Honey
  • Blueberry Jam
  • Lemon Curd
  • Candied Pecans
GARNISHES
  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Edible white flowers

Equipment

  • 1 Sharp Knife
  • 1 handheld cheese slicer
  • 1 wooden cheeseboard
  • 4 mini bowls for jams, honey, spreadable cheese
  • 1 honey dipper
  • 1 serving tong
  • 3 mini spoons for jams, spreadable cheese

Method
 

  1. Cut the Brie wheel in 16ths and fan out in the upper right corner of the board.
  2. Slice the Gouda wedge into triangular slices and fan to mimic the rays of the sun from the book cover.
  3. Fold the prosciutto into loose ribbons and arrange beside the Brie.
  4. Create pepperoni rose for texture and visual interest.
  5. Add crackers in upper left corner, cascading downward.
  6. Add a small bowl of blueberry jam and add blueberries to represent the blue tones of the cover.
  7. Layer peach slices, strawberries, and green grapes around the board to recreate the warm summer palette.
  8. Add bowls of honey and lemon curd.
  9. Finish with lemon slices, fresh mint and edible flowers before serving.

Notes

This Beach Read charcuterie board was inspired by the bright yellow, blue, coral, and white cover art of Emily Henry's novel. Instead of recreating scenes from the story, the ingredients and styling capture the mood and color palette of the book.
